Best fulfillment companies in Portugal (2026)

An honest overview of the fulfillment operators working in Portugal, from CTT to the e-commerce specialists, with criteria for picking the right one.

Best fulfillment companies in Portugal (2026)

The main fulfillment companies operating in Portugal fall into two groups: large-scale logistics operators such as CTT and Luís Simões, which treat fulfillment as one line inside a far bigger offering, and e-commerce specialists such as LogNow, OrderNau, Ship4you, Shipify and Smartlo, which were built to handle orders from online stores. There is no absolute best. There is the one that fits your volume, your catalogue and your markets.

First, the disclosure this list demands: OrderNau is one of the companies listed here, and this article sits on our own site. So you will not find a one-to-ten ranking with OrderNau at the top. Within each group the companies appear in alphabetical order, each described from what it communicates publicly, and the criteria for deciding without relying on anyone's opinion are at the end. The details were verified in July 2026 and do change, so always confirm with each operator.

Large-scale logistics operators

These companies do not live off e-commerce. They have been doing industrial logistics, distribution and transport for decades, and fulfillment for online stores is one business line inside a much larger operation. The upside is robustness and coverage. The usual downside is a commercial process designed for large contracts, and less flexibility for anyone starting out.

CTT

The national postal operator. Beyond transport, CTT offers e-commerce logistics in integrated or modular form, including goods reception and warehousing, order preparation, dispatch and returns, which lets it act either as carrier only or as a full fulfillment operator. The Expresso e-Commerce service covers shipments up to 30 kg with a choice of delivery day, time and location. In Portugal, CTT also processes and distributes DHL eCommerce volumes, through a partnership between the two companies.

It makes sense for anyone who wants a single supplier with guaranteed national coverage and the country's whole network of points and branches behind it. The trade-off is a large structure, with the decision pace that implies.

Luís Simões

Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Loures, it is the largest logistics operator on the Iberian Peninsula for road flows between Portugal and Spain. It runs more than 25 warehouses and over 400,000 square metres of installed capacity across ten regions, with more than 2,500 employees and around 2,100 vehicles. In 2024 it handled more than 6,760 e-commerce consignments a day, within a total of over 14,500 daily dispatches.

It is the natural choice for anyone with industrial volume, real pallet movement and an Iberian operation. For an online store shipping tens or a few hundred orders a month, it is an oversized structure.

E-commerce specialists

Here the typical client is the online store, and the operation was designed around the individual order: unit picking, careful packing, integration with selling platforms and returns handling. The differences between them lie in location, integrations, price transparency and the kind of client they are used to working with. In alphabetical order:

LogNow

Positions itself as the most technology-driven operator in the Portuguese market and combines the online store, fulfillment and a sales-channel connector on a single platform. It communicates integrations with marketplaces including Amazon, Worten, Fnac, Kaufland, KuantoKusta and Vinted, and with stores on WooCommerce, Shopify and PrestaShop. Dispatch runs through carriers such as CTT, Correos and GLS, and everything is managed from one panel with synchronised inventory and automatic order processing.

It is mostly of interest to sellers listing on several marketplaces at once who want stock synchronised across all of them without manual work.

OrderNau

That is us, so we will stick to verifiable facts. We operate from the Lisbon region, with warehousing, picking, packing and dispatch by the next business day. We ship via Delnext, DHL Express, DHL eCommerce, CTT and UPS, and integrate Shopify, WooCommerce, OpenCart, Amazon, eBay and Vinted, plus custom integrations when the client's platform is not a standard one. Returns handling and customs documentation are part of the operation, including shipments to the United Kingdom and the United States through our own mailboxes. The inventory management app is not billed separately. Pricing is a per-order fee that falls as volume grows, billed monthly, and the components are published on the pricing page.

We mostly work with growing stores that want to move out of in-house logistics without a months-long commercial process. If you are comparing us with another operator, ask us exactly the same questions you ask the rest.

Ship4you

Based in Alcabideche, in the Cascais area, it combines fulfillment with data solutions. The team communicates more than twenty years of experience in mail order and direct marketing, which shows in an operation used to unit picking and high volumes of small orders. Beyond logistics, it builds the website and online store, integrates with e-commerce platforms and provides end-customer support. It is a multilingual company, which counts for anyone selling outside Portugal.

It makes sense for anyone looking for a partner that also handles the digital side and customer service, not just the warehouse.

Shipify

Operating from Fundão, it communicates a simple and focused proposition: secure storage, professional picking and dispatch within 24 hours for e-commerce stores in Portugal. It publishes a pricing page on its site, which is still not the norm in the Portuguese market and is a good sign for anyone who wants to compare without going through meetings.

An inland location can be an advantage on cost and a disadvantage on proximity for anyone who wants to visit the warehouse often from Lisbon or Porto. It is worth asking about cut-off times and real transit times to the areas where most of your customers are.

Smartlo

Based in the Porto district, it focuses on e-commerce fulfillment in both B2C and B2B, with goods reception and warehousing, order preparation and national and international dispatch. It communicates experience in sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, technology, footwear and childcare, and shipping capability to more than 220 countries. It does not publish prices on its site, working by quote instead.

It is worth considering for anyone in the north who wants the warehouse nearby, or anyone with a catalogue in one of the sectors where the company already has established practice.

This table is a starting point for shortlisting, not a verdict. No operator is properly judged by one row of a table.

How to choose without relying on lists

Any list, including this one, is a snapshot of public positioning. The real decision is made with your own numbers and with answers in writing. Ask three operators for a quote against your concrete profile, with orders per month, average weight and volume, destinations and seasonality, and compare five things.

First, the total cost per order on your profile rather than the generic rate card, because storage and returns change the result. Second, the daily cut-off time and what it means for the promise you make to your customers. Third, who takes responsibility for what when something goes wrong, with obligations written down instead of intentions. Fourth, whether the integration with your platform actually exists and how long it takes. Fifth, commercial response time, because behaviour before signing predicts behaviour afterwards.

The full checklist, with the twelve questions to ask any operator, is in How to choose a fulfillment partner. If you are still one step earlier, deciding whether outsourcing is worth it at all, start with Fulfillment vs. in-house logistics. And to understand how prices are built in the Portuguese market, see How much fulfillment costs in Portugal.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best fulfillment company in Portugal?

There is no single answer, and be wary of anyone who gives you one. A large Iberian operator is the best choice for someone moving pallets and the worst for someone shipping sixty orders a month. The useful criterion is not the size of the operator, it is the fit between their operation and your catalogue, volume and markets.

How much does fulfillment cost in Portugal?

Pricing almost always breaks down into stock reception, storage by space occupied, a fee per order prepared, transport by destination and weight, and returns handling. Some Portuguese operators do not publish rate cards and work by quote. Always ask for a simulation on your real profile, because the same rate card produces very different costs per order depending on stock turnover.

Is it worth choosing an operator close to my business?

The distance to your office matters less than the distance to your customers and the cut-off time. What proximity gives you is the option of visiting the warehouse, and that is worth more than it sounds: an operator that will not let you see the operation is telling you something.

Can I switch fulfillment operators without stopping the store?

Yes, and the usual method is not to migrate everything at once. You move part of the catalogue first, typically the fastest-moving items, measure the share of orders dispatched on time and the error rate over sixty to ninety days, and only then decide. Check your current contract's exit terms first, and who pays for the stock transfer.

Is an operator that does not publish prices a bad sign?

Not necessarily, because many operations depend too much on each client's profile to fit in a table. The bad sign is a different one: the operator that, after receiving your concrete profile, still will not put numbers in writing.
